Timing Belt snapped and this is what it cost me
Well last week while driving on the highway, my timing belt broke. I'm on 178,000 miles and had last replaced it at 90,000 so I guess I was a little overdue. They put a new belt, tensioner, water pump, gaskets, crank shaft positioning sensor and all A/C plus alternator accessory belts were also replaced. There were some bent valves and no compression on one of the cylinders so the head had to be removed and sent to a machine shop. All in all, the joke cost me $1200. :089:
