Amsoil universal. Have been using it since 10K, now transmission has about 170K. Usually, I change fluid every 15K or so, however, I have only changed the filter once. Never had to touch anything on the transmission and it's still going strong (knock on wood).

Theres not many dealers around here. Is there an alternative I could pick up at a parts store? I think I might do the filter too. Its been shifting hard. The damage might already be done :(
Yes, there is an alternative. If you suspect that your transmission is either low on fluid, or desperately needs a change (The A/T oil in this case has broken down into something that no longer lubricates), go to advance auto and tell them the make, model and year of your car. They've got some universal import A/T fluid that should work just fine. I've got it in my car now, have had it in for 10k miles now... Also get a filter and pan gasket kit.Quote:

I think it's Dextron III / Mercron III for imports if I'm not mistaken. Or you could just get the OEM SPIII diamond stuff like everyone else is saying :orangerolleyes:
