Yes! I knew that it was only a matter of time before Mitsubishi came out with a five-door sportback Lancer. I’d prefer to call it a wagon, since I have some fascination with them. I just heard from my people at Mitsubishi Motors, Maurice “Moe” Durand and Christine Jew, that the five-door sportback (wagon) Lancer will be hitting dealerships soon and tagged as a 2010 model. It’ll be available in two versions- the GT-S, which is a front-wheel drive with a 2.4 liter 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque engine. Transmission options are a five-speed manual or six speed CVT automatic. Doesn’t sound too bad, but the big dawg is the Ralliart- a turbocharged 4B11-powered, all-wheel drive beast with a twin clutch six-speed transmission and aluminum paddle shifters. That’s what I’m talking about! Now I just gotta figure out how to get my hands on one. You know how sick of a project car that’d be? Haul around parts, hit the track, sit in traffic, go snowboarding-the possibilities are endless. Some other dope features are the Rockford Fosgate sound system, touch screen navigation, and optional Recaro seats. If you’re like me and think wagons are the ish, this is quite possibly the perfect car for you…just don’t buy it in the same color that I want. In fact, I’m not even going to tell you what color that is.
