A noise under the hood of my 1994 Galant DOHC turns out to be the tensioner for the A/C belt (not the timing belt!). I need a replacement. Does anyone know where to find one?
Thanks.

first of all welcome and nice to see another GS is out there and alive. I literally just threw out 2 of those tensioners last month and just went through my garage and basement trying to find another but no luck. We use the same tensioner as the 1995-99 turbo eclipses as well

a new one from the dealer is 100 bucks so dont try there
So where you from?
Thanks for the pointer to eBay. I'll take your word that it's the right one!
i wouldnt point you in the wrong direction and yes, where are you from?
I'm in Seattle. I got the tensioner from ebay, but it turned out to have bearings just as bad as the one I'm replacing! I might have to get a new one if I can't find new old stock. I've disconnected the A/C in the meantime.
Do you really need AC up there as I had similar issue and just removed my AC and have been very happy since
Check local dsm forums or it's the AC compressor bearing that's the issue. I don't think it's worth 100 bucks for a new one either
