I know it would be fun. It's a toss up for me. My car only has 86k miles and the motor would be a good platform for boost. Maybe one day I will start sourcing out the parts. I just keep telling myself not to, dont know why tho.

Lol I have been collecting parts for years. I have owned this sonata head for about 7 or 8 years.
Wow thats a long time to wait but it will be worth the wait for you..
I have two other projects I NEED to do before I can start picking up parts for this project.
Cant wait to see your numbers man!! Im excited for you..
Thank you. I'm very anxious too. My tuner had already built me a new rom for the head swap. Just need to finish installing everything.
Nice man!! Will be waiting for the updates..
Need a video of the car running when all said and done. Cant wait.
Just had a busy two weekends so I haven't touched it.
Decided two days ago that I wanna do a semi tuck so ordered a bunch of moisture resistant heat shrink, fire retardant expandable sleeving, high temp butt connectors and wire.

Got some boxes sitting here for the swap. My goal is to finish it this weekend.
that's some quality product you got there,, good luck!
Yea it will look ckeaner, doesnt have to be tucked to look good. Let me know hiw good that raychem stuff is compared to basic heat shrink.
Will do.
Did some work today. Didn't get to finish since they sent me the wrong exhaust manifold gasket. I was afraid my IC piping won't fit but I made it work. Also my downpipe sits perfect.

I needed some good Galant related relaxation after work tonight, so I went ahead and read your whole build thread from the beginning. My headache is now gone, so thank you! Nice build!
I can't tell from the picture for sure, but are you running the battery cable through the fender or somewhere else? I'm looking for alternative routes compared to my last relocation.
I'm glad my build thread helped alleviate your headache 😎
Yes the cable does go through the fender. Been that way for years and no issues. How did u run yours previously??
I used the factory hole behind the headlight and drilled one next to the other one in front of the door to enter the cabin. Than down in the driver side harness all the way to the back of course. Worked great, but I feel like there has to be a shorter route.
