The new motor will not be buildable to the 1000 hp marks the 4g63 is seeing from what I hear 600 hp is going to be a major build. The evo isnt and never will be a drag car, 600hp will be an absolute monster on a road course which is where the evo is most at home. No the new motor will not handle the boost that the 4g63 will but its certainly going to be able to hold it for longer. The move to an aluminum block was for emissions, engines produce the most emissions when cold so an engine that warms up faster is prefferable in the eyes of the treehuggers. The evo may not be as powerful but it will be more reliable, handle better and hopefully weigh less, like hopefully around 3k lbs.
forget that!!!!!! i'd say stick with the 63s...
