Just picked one up a few months ago. I'm about to hit 100k and the car is amazing. It's a 95. Bone stock. No body rust aside from surface rust on the roof. I would really like to do something performance-wise with the car but I honestly have never tuned a car before. I heard the 4G64 is a relatively easy engine to mess with, but I'd like help from someone experienced with Mistubishis.

There's a plethora of information out there and on these boards, you are in the right place.
On a side-note, there`s now a white 7g with a JDM front end & a 63 dohc headswap for sale locally. I wonder who it is.
Last thing I knew he was still in KY but than again we are talking about a decade ago here :)
The 1994 ES we bought new just had its auto trans go out for the second time (once at 200K and again now at 307K) so she's going to get pulled apart to become a donor for my other 7g. She was becoming a beater (dash cracks, clear letting go and a light hit in the rear) but she always started (even in Feb when it was 20-30 below here in Montana). I loved that car so if I didn't already have three other 7g (all with 5 spd swaps) I'd probably have just swapped the trans and kept her for another 100K. Now I have to continue to resist the temptation to fix her and figure what's worth pulling before hauling her off.
just picked a 94 gs 2.4 sohc 4 speed auto 161k, has that window issue i notice a few people here has/had, dtc 43, occasional clunk (bad mounts?) previous owner said they took good care of it...lol, missing driver side sun vision, retaining clip for pass. sunvisor broke so it flops around, mostly clean interior, need driver seat rail (broke then welded so its all wonky now) and a valve cover gasket. also is it supposed to be that slow, yeah 141 or so hp and 2800ish lbs but really? took it on a 180 mile road trip the day i got it 6/8/19 so 2 days ago.
so as i get a better dd this will become my weekend fun car... turbskis+5 spd maybe awd swap and definitely weight reduction and other standard mods.
my current fleet is 2001 expedition and this
edit: i got the 7g for free
Can't beat free and definitely can't beat a free 7g GS. I can save you a seat bracket and whatever it is you need for the sun visor (other than the sun visor itself) if you want to pay the shipping. If interested send me picture of the bad parts and I will save them for you when I pull my car apart.
After I let go of the GS, I had a 05 legacy GT Limited for a while. It was a great car. Moved to DC for about 4 years and didn't have a car. Now I live outside of Philly and am going to be looking for a new car at some point. I'm hoping that one day soon I'll have the time to snag up one of these 7gVR4's that are making their way to the States now. We'll see. Hope everyone is doing well.
I got rid of my 7G 2 years ago. I had my Evo X and got rid of that right after the 7G went. I ended up getting a 2018 Q50 Red Sport. Had it for 2 years and love it. As Stunr said, the 7G VR4s are making their way over. I miss my 7G a lot and a VR4 may fill the void.
