Just curious, was wondering what the intentions were. I feel like the car hasn't been driven much. Didn't know if you were going for a show car or a cruiser or what. Carry on

It's had 800 Miles put on it since May. It gets driven quite a bit honestly, just don't really post about the little evening drives or to the gym cruises. It's been entered in a car show in last February, and will be entered in this February. It's not my daily so it doesn't get driven all the time.
The thing that sucks about where I live is there is no road course or 1/4 mile track.

Fuck yea, progress!! Looks like you got the cut out for the gas cap done no problem.
Did a little more on the left side tonight. It is now rivnut'd and bolted to the body. WATCH OUT. Also finally decided how I was going to attack the back half to blend it in the body. Need to adjust some holes for the screws, and possibly make the countersink on the body panel different.

Damn making your own parts for the wide body from scratch, that's badass!

Thanks man! Its kinda needed as I didn't like any fender options that are available for the galant. Sometimes I don't know why I do what I do.
Seriously that made my night! Hopefully everybody likes how it turns out, I have put a lot of thought into this and I'm really trying to keep the overall appearance clean.
You think so man? I'm still trying to figure out what to do on the right side with the gas cap. I would like to bring it out, but I might have to change the way the fuel door opens to do that. I have 5 weeks left to get this body side done, to an acceptable level for completion for the show. Tere is no way I will be able to finish the rear diffuser in time though, sadly.
If only I had a larger garage, lots of clay, welders, tools, lifts, torches, plasma cutters, pipe benders, press breaks, 10-ton presses, paint booths, and time...I could do the same stuff!
I only have a welder, and tools. No paint booth.
Everybody has skills, just gotta learn how to do it. I never imagined in my life I would be doing what I'm doing for fun. Fun is a strong word for this though haha. I wish I had a paint booth though!
Agreed. I was being funny with Dave. Skill can be aquired with experience. I'm a real DIY guy and I've noticed in the 10 years I've toyed around with cars on my own, without one key thing you just can't get it right, it just doesn't work. Patience. The car game whether looks performance or regular maintenance, patience is always key.
