How do you remove the 3rd brake light on a 2000 galant?

Their are two or three 10mm Bolts in the trunk. then it just slides out.
Yes there is 2 nuts on the underside of the rear deck lid also dont forget to unplug the wire https://www.thegalantcenter.org/styl...ault/laugh.gif
open the trunk. tist the bulb socket to remove the bulb and the socket. then u will see 2 10mm nuts. they are brass colored. remove them and then push up on the bolts. go to the back seat and pull up on the light and jiggle it towards u. if u have tint, be careful not to scratch that...
I know this is an old post, I did not find anything newer. Since I got a spolier and now I want to remove the back seat brakelight. If I do, will there be a hole in the back window?
yes, you can re-wrap it though
Just unplug it and leave it there, that's what I did.

you could also use a t-tap connector and have 2 3rd brake lights.
you could also get a hold of the panel from an old gtz without the hole for the 3rd brake light.
