Apparently the Diamante will be built off the new Galant platform and may get built in the U.S. There are still rumors that a streched version of the future Diamante will be built in Australia and exported to the U.S. :?:

Confusing article overall... at least it hints that the JDM Galant will be built off its own platform, maybe based on the new Grandis minivan...
