doable but with the money u wold invest it would be cheaper to

    A) swap a 4g63T
    turbo the 64
    C) do EITHER and the money u save do a 5 spd
cuz that cost so much more

so same power for less money

but i am very glad to see u doing reseach

u made my night thank u and merry christmas

Another possibility is to do what Peano is doing and grab a 2.4 DOHC block, and beef up the internals.

LOL..... i've been toying with this idea for a while myself, it just so happens that i got an extra 64' block and crank. i want to see how much power i can make on my current motor first, if im not happy im gonna switch to the 2.4 and a gt42R turbo

can't imagine you not making ENOUGH hp w/ that lovely fwd.
i'd go for a torqued out 2.4 if i had an awd monster,or even dually's on the front axle LOL. it would be nothing but love to have a little stroke to get me moving out of boost. 7.8:1 isn't a huge fan of stop and go.

i'd be all for some 2.1L goodness though.
