you can get a 2g exhaust. the majority of it should fit, but it will come up 6" short at the cat, nothing $30 and a muffler shop can't fix.

Get a universal muffler and get a shop to customize the pipes. Thats what I did

look under tubing kits. get 2.5 aluminized for a 95-99 eclipse FWD.
then you have ALL mandrel bends, flanges, and hangers. for 125 bucks. plus a little bit for shipping.
get em welded up with a 2.5" resonator to make up the difference in length.

and you have a high performnce custom fit mandrel bent exhaust for well under 300 bucks.

I just ordered my 3" pipe kit. last friday. it showed up on my door on wednesday.
Not a bad buy at all.
i'm going to have my buddies shop weld it up for the 15 bucks and a pizza.

this is a fantastic option if you already have a muffler.
if not you can get an ebay van for pretty cheap.
i just have a cheap meagan stainless can and it sounds great actually.

my current exhaust is jut stock pipe with e resonators cut out, then it flares out to a 3" muffler lol.

but i'll be 3 " from the downpipe back now.
I plan to reuse the current muffler.
cause it looks great and sounds great.

    Thanx Stunr.

I will save up and buy one of those.
And get a Muffler to go with it.

    Im anxious.

Question: Did you feel and gain after you placed the new exhaust?

Reason why I asked because since the CAI install Ive been trying to race everyone known to man but I keep getting left behind. I know about the turbo but Im taking baby steps and I want to do this 1st. The turbo is last on my list.

you are going to feel more midrange pull and definatly top end. its not going to be the kind of power difference that puts you in your seat,
but you will fell the difference. its significant.
you might lose just a little power at the very bottom end of the spectrum, but its trivial compared to what you will free up in the middle.

also have you done a tuneup in a while?
replace your sparkplugs with some new stock NGK plugs. new wires, distributor cap and rotor. clean your throttle plate, run a bottle of fuel system cleaner through.
do you have anything significantly heavy in your car?
like a system or a bag of cement in your trunk?
free up all the heavy and loose stuff in your car tooto help get the jump on fools.

other mods that will help you in a race that you might not have considered: upgraded suspension. get the power down, prevent your ass end from dropping when you mash the pedal, less driveline deflection means more go, as well as traction.

its hard to make power with natural aspiration.

you oughtta talk to matt(peanotation) about nitrous installs.
its very easy, and if you do it right, quite safe. definatly more band for the buck vs any other modifications.

Now I havent done a tune up it a minute but Its in the process. About the Cap and rotor are there any good one that would work. I seen a pic with someone using a MSD ignition and blaster coil. I wanted to use that. But Im getting some money so I can buy them Nology Hot wires and get the NGK plugs.

NOS is last on my list along with the turbo. Due to poor budget I have take baby steps with all this. But I will talk to them when Im ready.

    Thanx for the input.

use an oem cap and rotor. as for the wires, just go with a set of accel. nology are way too overpriced, and in an independant study done on dsmtuners. accel were found to be one of the best(lowest resistance)

I agree with DOHCtunr....I would use a OEM Cap and Rotor if you replace yours. If you want some decent wires I would suggest NGK wires but I would strongly recommend Accel wires because they are probably the best priced with the better performance output. I have Accel wires on both my 96 Galant turbo and on my Galant VR4.

I hope they got'em in red( Im trying to keep a red theme for the car)

    Thanx again
