    8G Wiki Update

I updated the Wiki for the 8G

Let me know what you think about the layout for the factory options, and ways to improve the look.

Also, I added VIN information - please verify that it is correct by matching your VIN info. I need to find out what the 9th check digit is (variable or standard) and also the code for years 1999 and 2000.

Thanks for the contributions drybear, you seem to be the only one interested, lol.

the vin stuff looks correct to me, mine matched.

also i wouldn't worry about style to much i think im gunna add some custom css here pretty soon, im thinking rounded corners maybe? what do you think?

well I have a 99 ES V6 and I thought it had ABS but on the wiki it says it doesn't or that it's not even an option. Lemme go check

No actual 2001 models had dual piston calipers, just FYI.

I just made a few updates to the 6G72 page: http://www.galantwiki.com/index.php?title=6G72

I'll add some info for bolt-on and internal upgrades if I get bored.

ABS was added as an option for ES models in 2002. My 03 ES V6 doesn't have ABS. Please verify and let me know so I can update accordingly

Will update the wiki reguarding the dual piston setup.

Another thing that I want to verify is that the DE had manual windows? Or was that manual *mirrors*?

Let me know if you see any other corrections.

Also wanted to add that a lot of the info comes from a 2003 Galant Brochure. Does anyone have a copy of the older brochures?

Nice job! One thing: in the wheels section, the info about the 16" alloys is incorrect. The 99-01 GTZ had these: http://www.galantwiki.com/index.php?...ge:Galant5.jpg

Also on the world spec, the engine choices also included the 4g93 GDI and the 4g63 SOHC.

yeah, the pic of the wheels/covers is from the '03 brochure, so that only shows the 02-03 16" alloy. I didn't add the 99-01 16" alloy yet as I didn't have a clean picture. I hope to get better pics of the wheels for all years/trims.

ABS is a factory option package. It was listed in the 02-03 brochure.
