    Squeal when steering turned full lock

    As above i have a loud squeal when stationery if i turn my steering wheel full lock left or right, there no noise at all unlless its turned fully.

    what part is on its way out? any advice on what i should replace.

    Power steering. Belt is either loose, or might be low on power steering fluid. Check the fluid first.

    If I recall correctly, it's not too good for your power steering pump to push it against the stop. Make sure you back it off just a hair once you find the mechanical limit.

    That would be your power steering pump screaming "YOU'RE TURNING ME TOO FAR!!!"

    It's okay, mine does it occasionally also.

    thanks for the advice, i was just backing out my drive this morning as i always i go straight back out then turn all the way left, but today it started screeching, ill check the fluid later, where is the belt located it i need to check it. ill check the haynes later too.

    The serpentine (or multiple) belt(s) are on the same side as the timing belt and water pumps. And for that matter the alternator also. But noise at full lock isn't abnormal.

    Check your power steering fluid and does your P/S pump make a constant "humming" noise?

    If so...its either low on P/S fluid or the pump is failing.
