    Evolution to a 7.5G VR-4

Well, I figured it was about time I put up what it is I'm actually doing with my car.

    Well, as you'll see I'm converting it from a normal 7g VR-4 into a 7.5g VR-4, and here's how...

Firstly we start off with this...

    My 1994 Galant VR-4 with a 6A12TT 2.0 V6 engine, manual g/box and a few mods

Then we go out hunting and come across this lil' baby

Say hello to the 6A13TT 2.5 V6 engine, go on it won't bite.... yet

Once it has been obtained we start to strip the motor down

There's not too much left once you get right down to it...

Once all that has been done, I decided to get all the parts cleaned that I was going to reuse...

    More pics to follow ;)

Yea, I'm hoping it will all come together nicely :D

Here's some more pics of where I'm up to...

Got the crank back all cleaned and balanced...

Along with the pistons and new piston rings

I had the inlet manifold cleaned and polished

Along with the front and rear rocker covers

We then threw the car onto a trailer and went to take the engine out...

Who says we don't have brand loyalty, The car towing is a Mitsubishi Legnum, the other drive car we took in is a Mitsubishi Lancer and the truck we put the engine on the back of is a Mitsubishi L200. Also the work shop is part of the main Mitsubishi dealer in my city :D

Well, at this stage I'm just waiting for the heads to come back from being re conditioned and sorting out the gearbox mating to the block, so might be a few days before much else happens.

Though I still have my new brakes and rotors to play with in the meantime :D

Very awesome build! but isn't a 6a13 positioned the same way as a 8g galant 6G72? and the 6a12 is positioned the same way as a 3kgt 6g72? if so are you doing new custom motor mounts? on your chassis?
