HOW TO: Disassemble JDM Power Folding Mirrors for the 8G

DISCLAIMER: If you break your mirrors, it’s on you! I take no responsibility for anyone’s actions and the results of your own doing.

    Tools you'll need

    Remove the rubber gasket

Remove the screw holding the metal clip thats holding the wire

Cut off / remove the plastic connector

Uscrew the 3 bottom screws. NOTE: These are threadlocked screws so you have to use a High-Torque Electric Screwdriver to remove them

Push the top of the lense up by hand

Insert a flat head screw driver between the white braket and the lense then slowly pry the lense up

Then with fingers pull the lense out of there

Remove all the screws marked with a red circle using a phillips screw driver NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THE CENTER SCREW

Move the attached assembly aside, do not unplug

    Remove the other 2 screws

Carefully using a flat head screw driver pry the little tab on the bottom corner and remove the bottom cover of the mirror

Remove screw to release the motor

    Remove the Last Screw

    Done!

Sorry, I don't get it, whats the point of taking it apart? Do you need to take it apart before putting them on the 8g or something?
Also you should be like the other threads... and put a disclaimer for not being liable for damages.

It is because his motors went bad so he swapped them in so he didn't have to repaint the mirrors.

P>S> I told you it can be done roman

the 3 wires go to the stock wiring and the folding wire has to go to a 12v power source

Please search the forum for the wiring diagram. Cali posted it here at one point.
