Icon8 Replaced Tranny fluid and then....

I know I shouldn't have done this but I ended up doing a drain and re-fill tranny oil change about 2 months ago and now my transmission is slighlty slipping when cold.

My car has 165,000 miles and since I got the car 3 years ago at 90,000+ I had not replaced nor added any fluid to the transmission and never had any problem with it either.

I went and listen to this stupid mechanic who told me that the fluid was too dark and recommended I drain and re-fill ASAP....Now I regret it

Anyhow, what's done is done. I have added some of that Lucas Tranny fix and it seems to have fix the problem, but just slightly.

Does this mean my transmission gonna go bust in a few months or what?

    What else ca I do?

Fluid type would be very important here.

Do a full transmission fluid flush, with filter, and with Mitsubishi Diamond SPIII trans fluid only.

I know for a fact that the place I took the car to get serviced knew about using Mitsubishi Diamond SPIII and told me that that was what they were gonna use....Now if they really used the Mitsu kind I will never know...But yeah, as far as I know, Diamond SP was used...

It was only drained and filled once. And the car is a 2001 so I dont know about replacing the filter on my model

if its not a mitsu dealer and you didnt bring your own trans fluid then i bet its not mitsu fluid.

also when you drain and fill, im not sure how much goes out but i think its somewhere only in the 50-60% that you change.
