Galant with a major oil leak....

Hi, I've just got a 1995 Galant, engine 6A11 and it's got a major oil leak. It seems to be coming from the rear camshft. Would it be the seal, could it be something else? There's a lot of oil dripping out and spraying around the engine bay.

Does the whole head need to come off to replace the seal?

a mitsubishi with an oil leak? sounds normal to me...

yea its most likely the seals
i had to replace all 4 of them since they were old and used up
but once its fix its nice

If its coming out of the cam seal nope just remove the valve cover and timing system

Does anyone have a breakdown of the camshaft setup. The one I've got only shows one oil seal but I can see two........

there is only one cam shaft seal if you have coil ignition otherwise its just going to be a valve cover. If you have a distributer its going to be the oring around the dist not a cam shaft seal.
