    It has always sort of smelled like it's had an exhaust leak.. Not inside the car but when you first start it up and get outside it does smell rather smelly.That would make sense actually. How does one investigate this issue?

    From searching real quick I found out that the 2g bushings are the same size while 3g and evo uses two sizes. I had it backwards. My bad.

    Yea for the green one. I dont know if i should. Lol i want lsd and to make sure is in good conditions. The clutch was is gone. As in wearout. So

    Update on the check engine light, it does have something to do with the exhaust. He said it could be a simple leak or it could have something to do with a charcoal canister?? Also said there is no harm done to the car, it is just a little less efficient.

    Finally I'm 5 speed swapped. Got the Prothane mounts on the motor and front control arm. Need to figure out how to get the axles out because they are fused into the hubs, wire the the sensors in, and put in the rear Prothanes. Can't wait.

    Congrats! Let it soak overnight in WD40. I like to leave the ball joint alone and loosen the bolts attaching the hub to the strut. Than gently hammer the axle out with the proper size bolt or pipe and a rubber mallet while turning / pulling away the hub.

    When it happened to me I got new axles and spindles from the yard.

    I tried it all including heat with a torch.

    Buy new knuckles from the Mitsubishi dealership, they are cheap cheap cheap! (Seriously! When I had to replace an axle, the replacement knuckle was MUCh cheaper than in the boneyards). Then buy new hubs and axles.

    If that happens again, buy the spindles/knuckles from the Mitsubishi dealership.
