    Thermostat Housing?

Im new here. I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES v6. Thermostat Housing is damaged and need a replacement. Anyone have any Idea where I can get one. Seems like all i find online is gaskets and sealants for the T-Housing. Please let me know. Thanks.

Well besides a dealer. I would like to see some where i can get probably a better deal than what they would offer at the dealership

The housing through a dealer is about $100-120, a little steep for a part somebody could easily find at a junkyard. Some of the members here should be able to pull one off a car for you and sell it a heck of a lot cheaper. I would sell you the one off my 3.0L engine, but that went into the aluminum scrap pile some months back.

Yeah i dont feel like spending that much on a housing unit. Anybody out there willing to sell any extra 1's or know that they can get one or refer me to a good source?

    How about

It doesn't look too expensive. If it's the older model in 02, it's only $70.

That is where I found the cheapest price, but even then the part is $92+shipping. You should be easily able to find one for $30-$40 shipped from a member here.

I think what spd_frk is suggesting is to start up a WTB thread on here.

I'll let mine go for $40 shipped. PM me. I can even put up a FS thread per forum policy. For an extra $5 I could even get the gaskets where it meets each head.
