I'm gonna try it out. Wanted some insight before I go disassemble shit ya know.

Wouldn't you have to read the ecu first and get the immobilizer codes and enter or delete it from new ecu?

  5. #625
99 didn't have an immobilizer so the ecu should be a plug and play if the wiring was never changed.

Tried it. Just plug and play. Didn't start. Just backfires.

Best bet is to get a pinout of each. Unfortunately I lost my access to alldata so I can't do that for ya. Sorry my friend.

Is there any mechanical difference between DE and ES trim for 8th Generation Galant (specifically year 2000)? Ordered sway bar link bushings for DE trim by mistake but have ES trim and wondering if I would be okay or reorder for ES trim?

Buddy of mine picked up an 8G with a bad transmission. 2000 ES V6.

I have an AT assembly from a
2000 Eclipse GT with the sporty.

Will this setup work. The 3G trans into the 8G?

2000 galant, and yes i am 5 speed swapped. any short throw out of a 2000-2005 eclipse will work. iirc, they are also the same as evo 5 speeds too.

sporty meaning that auto with tiptronic? if so, i dont think it will work unless he wants to rewire everything and put the eclipse ecu in it. still needs very in depth stuff.
