04 Galant 3.8V6 ECU Problem

The ECM (Electronic Control Module) went bad on my 04 Galant GTS and I just thought I'd put a post here just to see if anyone knows a reliable place to get a used (or possibly rebuilt) ECU for the car. And along those lines.. is it better just to purchase a new one or do the used ones hold up well enough. Let me know if you've had any experience with this. Thanks a lot.

Check with the dealer, I thought there was a recall out on those. And if not I believe they are relatively simple to replace, if they are anything like the four cylinder its right in the fusebox all you do is pop it out, then pop the new one in and have the dealer reflash everything so it works with your keys and immobilizer. Should cost about 60ish dollars at least it does here.
