    Brake lights? Tail Lights problem!

    Hi,

New Galant owner here, been trying to fix up the car I got from my friends. But Anyways. I have a serious issues.

I notice that the driver side of my tail light doesn't come on, and I think my brake light doesn't come on either. (pressed the brake and the light stay the same on the passenger side and no light in the center)

My Question is, what seems to be the problem? And where the heck is the fuse for the brake lights located? I checked the fuse under the hood and they seems fine(no broken links) and the fuse in the driver side is confusing as hell. Turns signal and hazards are working, and I changed the bulb on that side too.

So any help would be great thanks!!

Tried the search, but it didn't seem to help much.

Tail lights and brake lights are the same thing. Unless you are talking about parking lights and brake lights.

More Fuses are on the drivers side dash, open the door and there is a cover there.

Its probably the bulbs are bad. If it were fuses you wouldn't have any brake or parking lights at all. Buy a 2 sets of 2057 or 1157 and replace both bulbs in each light. The center (3rd brake light is 912)

Did you try all the bulbs first? That would be the first step. I know you changed one, but it's not a stretch that they all are blown, over time it can happen. Should it be the fuse, it's located in the engine compartment, number 11 according to the Haynes manual.

    ^^^ I will brush it off....this time.

You will need a 10mm to remove the lights from inside the trunk, pull back on the carpet/trunk lining to reveal them. While you are in there have a friend put the car in reverse to check the reverse lights, it will also be a good idea to inspect your lights in front.

Ok I changed the bulbs and changed the fuse. Driver side light is still not on. I know the signal bulb are ok becuase when I use the hazard lights, it turn on and flash.

yellow fuse holder under the hood. if it's not that, u may have fried your etacs ecu (unit that controls all the lighting flashers and horn etc.).

lol never mind, i think everything is fixed.

turns out, the connection on on the harness behind the fusebox was bad? loose? whatever it was I pushed it in, wiggle it, and everytime seem to be fine now....
