    rear speaker size for 99 mitsubishi galant LS v6

    Does anybody know what the rear speaker size for a 99 mitsubishi galant LS v6 is??

    I have 6 x 9" in mine. According to Crutchfield, 6 x 9's fit in either system, with or without the Infinity system, so those should have you straight.

    Be cautious of the depth of the speaker because of how our trunks are designed. It will hit the bars if its to big.

    6x9 is the size for all 8G models, like said above make sure the magnets clear as some higher power handling 6x9's have a big magnet that wont clear the "suspension" of the trunk if you will. I believe infinity reference cleared when I did some at best buy.

    That works also but I think he's talking about actual spacers made for 6x9 speakers..

    only $10 for a pair at best buy but prolly cheaper other places

    I just used washers for mine. Can get some from Home Depot for 3$ and you can rise or lower to both your speakers to the clearing height. Just make sure you dont raise it to high or your rear cover wont clear. Then to solve that you have to trim the holes and it can get messy after that...

    Those are kinda thick, I just installed some type-s 5x7 in a ford last night and they came with what looked like 1/4 spacers looked just like the ones picture above.
