    Car cranks but wont start

    Hey guys dont have much info since I woke up and had to go to work. The car drove fine and started up last night I turned her on parked her in the drive way and when I went to turn her on all it did was crank but would not start if you have any ideas please let me know I was suppose to get the car painted in a wk for the meet in ny but its not looking to well right now

    Have you pulled the timing cover to make sure the belt is fine?

    Im going to do that but they should be fine I havent drove the car im thinking it could be the cam sensor

    Check the crank position sensor as well. you get no spark without it.

    Make sure you have spark and are getting fuel.Do you a 4 cylinder or a V6?If you have a 4 cylinder it could be your distributor that went.

    I have a 4cyl and all belts are good changed the cam sensor and still nothing next is the crank sensor butbi dont a distributor I have coil packs

    Yes I do just checked that some guy drove buy and said it's probably my gas pump

    Yeah it very well could be the fuel pump to.Try spraying throttle body cleaner or starting fluid in the throttle body and see if it will start,if it does it is deffinantly fuel related.

    Did that and it tried starting is there any relay or anything to do with that

    yeah there should be a relay in the fuse box some where maybe try swapping places with another relay and see if it works.Did the car do anything weird before this happened or was the check engine light on?

    No I parked it last night and this morning it didnt want to start at all but I will be replacing the pump and the relay when I find it

    That is weird i dont think it would be a sensor because that would cause the check engine light to come on.If you have spark you must not be getting fuel did you get gas recently?Maybe you got bad gas if you did.

    I have spark and I barely have gas in my car I was going to put some in on the way to work this morning

    Oh you arent below a quarter tank are you?It isnt good for the fuel pump to go below a quarter because it will suck in all of the dirt.

    First and easiest thing to check is the engine fuse under the hood its a 20 amp fuse.
