    3.8 headers on a 6g72

Will the stock 3.8 headers fit on the 6g72?

those headers will not fit directly out of the box as the 6g75 (and 6g74) engines have a higher deck height so you would have to adapt the headers to work with the 3 liter

and then there is the matter of the angle the rear header comes of the head, it isn't confermed (as nobody to my knowledge has tried it), it is very likely the rear header will not clear the firewall and/or crossmember, basically it probably won't fit in an 8g Galant's engine bay

If you get headers designed for the 2000-2005 eclipse 3.0 you will be fine.

its an a 3rd gen magna which stock runs either a 6G72 or a 6G74 (in this case stock was a 74) guy has initally done a 6G75 conversion without mivec and this thread talks about the conversion to mivec after that.

Looks like we need to register to view the link. Besides, 6g72 headers only need minor modification to fit the 6g75.
