Engine bay noise/MAF?

Hello everyone,

Over the past week I've had a noise in my engine bay... hard to describe but it sounds like a loud air-sipping sound every 1-3 seconds (siiiiip --- siip --- siiiiiip --- sip). I took my cone air filter off and the sound is coming directly from the MAF I believe. Has anyone experienced this and what would be the issue? I don't feel any performance loss, and my engine idle has been normal still.
Any help would be great.

I will add I have just taken a road trip from Las Vegas to Santa Cruz. Can changing from dry air to extremely humid do something like this?

Driven about 1200 miles on it and still no other symptoms. Anyone have an idea?

Mine did the same thing when I put an SRI on back when i was NA. I am pretty sure its normal.

Sorry but what does SRI mean?
