Anyone use plasti dip on rims?

Just picked up some bbs rims on CL. My car is maroon and the rims are silver. Do guys think I should use plasti dip and go with a gloss black finish or just keep them the way they are? Here is a pic of the rims.

    No pics.

Also, plasti-dip has a flat/matte finish. It can be done, but layer it good. I'd say 6-7 coats.

Plasti-dip, you won't need to prep the surface like paint, so no scuffing involved. Clean the surface of the wheels good.

Now that I can see the wheels...I'd say no to any plasti-dip.

Silver on maroon is a nice combo, plus...those are some nice BBS wheels. Leave them be.

Wheels look fine as is, no need to ruin them.

Just dip them, see what they look like, if you don't like them, then peel it off. They're your wheels and you're gonna like them the way you like them. Do it and see what you think.

me personally, i would just recondition the wheels. but the good thing with plastidip is that you can always peel it off when youre over it.

Dude just spray one wheel. If you like it, continue on your way. If you don't, peel it off and keep your wheels as is. Win win.

I want to do my wheels too. I want black wheels, but Todd has vetoed any big expenses for awhile :( So I am considering it. I like the fact that you can peel it off.

Plasti-dip isn't that expensive, add in the fact that all you need to do is clean the wheels as prep, it's really a nice bang for the buck appearance changer.

My stock rims are pretty nice (for stock) so I figured plasti dip would give me the black rims I want, cheap.

I can't find it anywhere. The autozone here doesn't carry it. Is there a better place to find it?

IMO plasti dip would rob from your 9G's beauty and elegance.
