I hate you. Just like my mom when I say I'm going to the gym. "who's Jim?"

I had the same problem with the oil leaking from the turbine sound of the housing. Turns out I just overfilled like a dumbass.
Overfill it how??

Well over the winter I took off the oil cooler and added a sandwich plate to the oil filter bracket for some sensors, I never fully drained the oil so between the extra 2 qts the accusump holds plus the kick out on the oil pan I missed judge how much I needed to refill according to the dipstick. Ill be honest Im not exactly sure where I went wrong and It might have been having the mind set that I need to add enough to fill the cooler also but in the end I disconnected the return line from the pan to see if it was clogged and oil just kept pouring out. I probably drained about 2 qts when it stopped draining and then check the dip stick and I only needed to re-fill about 1/2qt.
So I did that but I only filled up to the first line on the stick which indicates your about a qt low but I have enough capacity to do that. Im asking myself now do I really need have the cooler full all the times, does it actually get full when WOT, did this contribute to me overfilling, luckily it only ran in the garage so Im sure it didn't effect anything.
I gotta find out because Im planning on using an cooler on the trans now since I have issues with blowing 4th and need to know if I have to add extra gear oil since theoreticly there will be less in the trans while it running through the cooling system.
I would definitely add more oil to the cooler. It's the same concept of the radiator. U need to get that air bubble out. At least that's how I see it. I will be adding a cooler to mine some time later this summer so I will find out more info on it.
As far as over filling I don't have your issue.
I have a straight fitting going into a 45 and that's causing an unneeded kink in the link due to the tight radius reducing the diameter of the tube at the very middle of it. So another 45 at the turbo side should make it flow better.

I actually have the same set up, strate fitting at the oil pan and 45 at the turbo but i dont have a kink. I face the 45 towards the radiator with a slight turn to the right and sweeps in towards the oil pan over the dpif I remember correctly.
Mines is a -10 though, PTE recomended to me a -12 but I never been able to find a drain fitting that sizr.
I sourced a 12an for the holset. Only one source sells it and it's in Canada. I paid $50 for both turbo and oil pan fittings. I think the placement of my turbo gives me that kink and yours doesn't. I had a - 10 with two 45 on each end but I felt that was restricting the flow and causing the turbo to leak from the compressor side so I swapped to a 12an. Let me dig up the source I bought it from and post the link for u.

Nice, thanks!
You're welcome. I decided to go with push lock hose instead of stainless line. Much easier to assemble.

Did some work today. Cleaned the block. Installed the head studs. Connected the intake manifold to the head, installed new reluctor and sealed the housing. Installed the fidanza cam gears. Routed all the vacuum lines on the intake manifold properly.

Do it. A healthy 4g64 can handle some decent boost. Wait until I finish the head swap. I'm planning on cranking up the boost.
