Dang, Should have changed it, this probably could have been avoided. But what's done is done. I would save up for a yard motor and drop it in.

When you buy a car you change the oil first thing after you get it home, no question, ever. Your experience is a prime example as to why.

Also goes to show, if your oil light is on PAY THE FUCK ATTENTION AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Wait a sec... I have 5 yes in a shop. I'm not fully retarded. The problems that exist would not have been solved by changing the oil. The problem is I was suckered on craigslist for buying a car with a shit engine in it. The oil in the car wasn't black, just a little darker. The cylinder head was a temp issue. More than likely why the temp gauge didn't work. Chalking it up as a total lose right now. Just trying to figure out if I'm junking it or dropping in new motor. Found one out of a dodge stratus for $500 with 94xxx on it. Just have to figure out if I can come up with the money.

And as for the oil light, that's why I posted on here. And just an FYI, the light didn't come on while it was on its final drive.

I am trying to figure some things out. Maybe I can spot you the money for the engine and put my car work on hold for a few.

All warning signs were there. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, but damn. Vitals are everything.

Yeah, I'll deff look into it. The only problem would be finding one that hasn't had a bunch of shit stolen from it. Lol. Maybe I can find a manual trans too. Have to see...

Even if parts are gone, you can use your manifolds and other bolt ons.

I was thinking more like head being good. Seems like every car up there is missing the valve cover. Lol

    Pm replied.

So my buddy asked me a question and I'll ask you guys. Since the car has a sub frame, I a drop that with the motor and trans or will the motor have to be pulled from the top? I thought it had to be pulled but he swears that I should be able to drop the entire front and essentially lift the car over everything. I could be wrong...

Way easier to drop in out of the bottom of the car. Its actually how they assemble cars in the manufacturing line, from the bottom haha
