    Question:

We're you able to slide the engine/tranny assembly out from under the car?

Excellent. I have an engine to put in soon. And I rather have it assembled to the transmission from underneath. Engine came out alone with an engine hoist and then the transmission from underneath. I no longer have the engine hoist and was willing to try feom under the car with the trans and engine fitted already.

Would you fix the car on stands and lift the engine assembly to the car or set the engine assembly down and lower the chasis to it?

To lower engine i do it with jack.

to install i place wood under crank and under trans. And lower chassis to engine and bolt it and raise all together.

Lowering the car to the ground won't be low enough. Of course I assume u would still jacks to jack them up until they sit in the or proper place for the mounts.

U right wont be low enough. Well i put swap directly underneath. Place some wood to make it higher. Then tht nose kisses the ground. Lol
