    Swap

    I have a 03 galant, I'm going to do a 5 speed swap, and I wanted to know does the eclipse have to be a 4 cylinder, because I found an eclipse manual but it's a 6 cylinder, does it matter??

    If yours is 4 then it needs to be off a 4 cylinder eclipse.

    I got a whole eclipse waiting to be taken apart to do the swap, but I don't want to get an engine light, and I don't kow how to prevent that

    Yes I have, they all say all get an engine light unless I change the ecu

    There's your answer, change the ecu. If there were other ways to do that then I'm sure it would say that. If you've got an entire parts car, take the ecu, wiring harness, ignition cylinder and whatever else you'll need.
