    Screw broke - Thermostat Housing

Any advice: while loosening the thermostat housing the screw broke inside the engine block. I tried using the screw removal adapter they sell and no luck. Any advice?

If part of the bolt is protruding from the block a little ways you may be able to get vice grips on it, just use good quality ones that don't have worn jaws. If it's flush or below surface then you have to drill, just use a center punch first then use a screw in extractor. Either way you should spray liberally with good penetrate like kroil or pb blaster.

Ok thanks. I'll give it a try again. I'm loosing coolant since that one screw isn't in.
