    guage adjustment

my tach is off a little. when i turn on the ignition, it jumps up to about 2-3 hundred rpm. then i start it and the tach stays 2-3 hundred rpms above idle (1100-1200). it just stays 200-300 rpm above what i'm actually doing. does anyone know how to get my tach to start in the right place?

if its just 2 or 3 hundred off, i wouldn't even change it. not worth the risk to me. but if you do want to fix it. CAREFULLY remove the needle and put it back on where it needs to be.
