Turn your Stock 99-01 Grill into a JDM Grill

I'm planning on doing this in mid-July. Very easy if you have access to a Dremel tool. All you have to do is spin saw all the "fish ribs" of the stock grill and then use a light spin sander to hide away the cut areas. I saw this done to a Ford 150 grill and it's relatively easy to accomplish. Now I know some of you think this is a waste of time, but to spend $175.00 on a JDM grill from ebay and combine a $160.00 JDM light housing (since the grill will not fit with the 99-03 USDM light housing), you can save a lot of time and money to make your G-ride look good. I'm gonna paint mine black and put a carbon fiber color grill mesh behind it. Send photos soon.

Perform this at your own risk.

Took the words right outta my mouth. Half the site has done this mod and put wire mesh behind it. There's even directions on how to properly paint your grill to match your car. Welcome to the site anyway

Yeah, I remember when someone on the old Yahoo! board did it, so I did mine too. That was before TGC even existed. I was one of the first.

To hell with using a dremel, its all about the tree limb cutters, I chopped those teeth out in five minutes, sanded it, and redid the grill in less then two hours.
