Bad 02?

How do you know if you have a bad o2 sensor? Do most places charge to check it out? Is there a simple test or a way to just look at it and tell like a spark plug or what?

I have a CEL light now. probably my sensors like mike is saying. also my spark plugs are still FACTORY and its a 2001. im having V8 gas mileage :?
acceleration is SLUGGISH!

No wonder! Change the plugs, man! It's pretty easy on the I4.

good idea, but my dad hesitates that the plugs are "ok"...considering i bought the car with a black, leaf-bug-twigs stuffed air filter.

Ditto. Took me about 10 minutes to change mine.

I've gone through 2 02 censors in 2 years. Get it taken care of ASAP.

so what other signs, than an CEL could there be to know if its a bad o2 sensor?

Was it autozone that does free checks on your computer for bad codes or something?
