    2.4l engine questions

ive seen engine on ebay time and time agian ..what confuses me is that all the auctions for these engines are year specific so the 1995 galant engine will say for the 95 galant vin "G" and the 98 engine will say only for the 98 vin "G" wtf is the difference? i cant drop a 98 engine into my 95? i figured it will drop right in and all the sensors would plug right up

It will drop right in, but there are some minor electrical differinces though. Nothing too harsh though, like maybe 1 or 2 sensors are different. I know things like 94-96 and 97/98 throttle bodies are different with the vacuum lines and all. Just small things like that. If you need a new engine dont worry about the year too much.

Seth is correct....basically you can swap shortblocks from 94-98 4g64s with no problem...the differences will be up in the cylinder heads and intake manifolds between 94-96 and 97-98 SOHC 4g64's.
