    Interior color change

anyone know how hard it would be to make my interior black from tan? i was gonna use vinyl dye and buy the front and rear seats from proto. Any suggestions or tips in doing this? anyone know what to do or where to get black headliner and carpeting? thanx

you'd get a much better outcome if you just bought the black interior plastics from a black galant also. i know here we had a few 7g's in the yard that had black interiors.

you can find the black carpet and headliner at the auto parts store. if you shop online or go to auto upolstery shops you can find higher quality stuff.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

yeah but the interior of a G didnt come in all black, and how much would it cost at a yard for all the pieces you think?

I painted my interior from tan to black...trust me when I say it's a horrible idea! Like Alan says go to a yard. Even if you end up paying a couple hundred it will be tons better than paint.

    i never seen a 8th g with black interior. Would a 7th g interior fit in a 8th g?

All I can say, I tried automotive carpet paint, and it's ok. But if there's a way, just find some factory black parts. (If there's such, 8g sux for sure)

i painted mine almost 2yrs ago. looks great to me. only fading in places constantly touched like the arm rest and handle on the pass. door. that's it. no peeling, cracking, fading in other spots. took me 7-9 cans and 2-3 days. i did the dash, door panels, center consol, and rear seat belt trim. not much. the first pic is from right after i did it, last 2 are very recent. but since the first shot, i've painted the clock bezel silver, a-pillars black, and the lower half of the dash silver.

hope that helps. i have painted a lot of things. i'm not afraid to try new things, so just ask.

i would suggest getting things upholstered or finding oem black parts before u paint it,,,most of the time it ends up fading or peeling,,,,and to be honest not many people do good jobs on it,,,,,,especially big plastic parts.....see if a shop can upholster it for u
