<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TITAN)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ChikagoGTZ)</div><div class='quotemain'>225 tires are too narrow for 8.5 rims....which will be the reason for rubbing...I've seen many people with 8.5 wide rims and a drop complain about some rubbing.</div>
no its not. my 19s are 8.5 wide and i have 225/35/19. how is that too narrow? if he went 235 or 245 then he would be sticking out and looking at some nasty rubbing. he may still be rub for the simple fact that they may be a bit bigger than stock and they happen to be 8.5 wide, but so far he says no rubbing. if i were to do it again, i would get some 8 in wide OR put some money into some flares or even a full wide body kit and keep the rims as wide as they are now or go wider but probably no more than 9 tho in the front. and 10 in the rear.
they are not exactly my cup of tea. nor my shot of whiskey, but do what you got to do.</div>
Well, I think this will leave the rim too exposed to hazards. 235 would be perfect fit on 8.5 rims. I have 225/40 on my 18s x 7.5 and they protect the rim very well, and do not stick out. Have fun with your 20s, and watch out for pot holes.

the more i look at the pics the more the rims grow on me, so i'm gonna have to retract my statement, but you do need to lose the wing, get a chrome grill and chrome GALANT letters on the side of the car, and you'll be set. and if you can or not get the chrome that goes over the top of your doors..
so then, 245/45 Z17 tires would rub right?
Depends on the offset, but it's likely.Originally Posted by SkylineG1

Oh no!! but 22's might! Plus you can't compare the body of a G with the one of my 300 its way wider and bigger. the rims aren't bad looking they are just way to big for that car

Lol, its just a down south thing. We Ride Big. Thats just the law down here. But 22's dats a little 2 small for the 300. But its just a opinion. That just what we down here in tx. trust me.
Oh man take em off. to much, it aint a benz <span style='font-size:30pt;line-height:100%'>:pukey: </span>
In my opinion, they arent bad...not for me but thats another story. You need to invest in some fendor rolling. It must be nice to get low profile tires like that...perks of living in Delaware, dont drive anyhwere near philly, baltimore or the worse...DC the lips on the wheels will eternally hate you for that! Those things have to weigh a ton...what 30lbs each? I complain about my 18lbs enkei's they must destroy your gas mileage.. You know that means dont even bother trying to go light to light with any smaller cars cause your done... Your pads and rotors are going to kill you as well...have fun!

does anybody have a fast car in texas?<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>(im being sarcastic)</span>
cause if everybody wants "dubs" on their cars then they must all be hella slow....
i just dont see how anyone could ever think those rims look good....its against comprehension...not only are they too big, but they look horrible too...
is it worth "riding big" if it means to have an ugly car?
naw, down here we dont care about speed. Its all bout ballin and parlayin. Its all about Shining on Chrome and Ridin Dirty. Everbody got their own taste. Thats just how we do. As a matter of fact, you should check out them florida boys, cause they ride hella big. They put 24's, 26's and even 28's on cars. Also Tx law enforcement dont play down here. Our state troopers ride in soup-up Dodge Ram's and F-150's and i seen a couple in the Dodge Magnums. So its not about speed down here. Especially us african americans.
I like em! From the pics though they look like they stick out from your wheel well a lil. But you said that they don't rub, which is a good thing. Be carful of pot holes (you can't be told enough).
How much were they? I couldn't even think about 20's on my G, I'm in NYC(The Rim Killer).
i got 17s and i already cracked one of my rims.
I've got 17"s too, and I have two cracked rims, one rim with a dent from hell, and the only good rim I have... the side of the tire that faces the chasis shreded coming up I95 last year (I still don't know how) I'm about to get those bitches fixed. I know somebody that knows somebody. I'mma find out prices, and post em if they're good.
yo was that u on the whitestone yesterday ? i was loking at ur cardomain page and it looked like u.
Not me... my car's been off the road since right after the blizzards. Gimme a few more weeks though. I'mma be flyin over the whitestone... and everyother bridge in the city. Lol
nice
