any particular finish you are looking for? momo, levoc/napolex are 2 good brands. there's a bunch more though.
Who makes the best aftermarket shifter for the 8G? Not cheap ones, I'm talking about ones that will last. And where can I find them? I know www.cardomain.com has some, but are there any other sites that have good shifters? If anyone can please let me know?

Carbon Fiber on the outside with a chrome button on the inside is what I'm looking for, but anything sporty looking really.
I take it that any shifter that says this won't work for our cars:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>
Designed to work only on auto transmission vehicles that do not have an overdrive or "O/D" button on the shift knob. Works with gate type shifters only.</div>
Actually, you can use shifters with the overdrive button - its just a switch with wires that you could just use for something else.
Razo is also another brand to look for.
theres mine

how about this knob

danj has the same knob but in the black finish
pretty much there are 3 types of those AT shift knobs.
the honda/acura ones. those have the mounting screws on the side.
the toyota/nissan ones. these have the mouting screws on the front. these are the ones that fit our cars.
then there are one the ones for the gate type shifter. these types of knobs are more like the knobs for manual shifters.

Thanks thats exactly the kind of shifter I'm looking for
Am I the only person who has ever brought their shifter down to the plate?
^ How did you go about doing that?!
I am also curious as to how you did this b/c that is one of the reasons that I haven't changed shift knobs yet. How difficult is it to do it and do you have pics of it.Originally Posted by MitsuRacer

I had to edit this to fit. I had to remove about 3 inches off the top..
Aot dont like the old school T bar style, they told me not to put it on a Galant. Well I love it. Even the way it shifts is perfect in my book.. I didnt have to spend 55.00 on it either.
I sold Krispy this one
Not sure what you mean by that - got any pics?Originally Posted by MitsuRacer

people's been doing that for years. for some shift knobs they won't even fit if you don't trim the plastic down http://www.dangerdanj.com/shift_install.html

Cool. Buying shifter now. That was the one thing holding me back from getting another shifter that most of ya'll looks HUGE! Like a giant dildo that you are holding as you drive. LOL....
Sorry,never done that!

who still sell these shift knobs?
I'd hop on ebay and search those brand names. Google may pull up some decent shops, too.
