    Left leg cramped?

I find that my left leg is cramped in the G. I can't fully extend my leg and end up resting my knee against the door panel. I tried removing the dead pedal but it didn't make a big difference. Is it possible to modify the seat tracks to allow the seat to go back further? Does anyone else need more leg room?

I tend to drive with my seat closer to the steering wheel. Ever since I started racing, I cant ride with the seat back and tilted so I look out the rear window any more. Having the seat back far is bad anyway, you do not have a good position on the wheel and will not be able to articulate the pedals properly.

I also find it a tad short on leg room but it's not too bad for me. Like you, I rest my knee on the door panel, and when it gets numb I extend it for a bit.

Keith is shorter than me... my right leg hurts when I race, right knee hits the center console where it sticks out....I usually wear a knee pad on myknee when autocrossing because of this.

That's pretty much how it is for me. I could use a little more legroom(I'm 6'3"), but it's not too bad.

i always felt a little unsettled in my car - never happened with any other car before. i think a telescoping steering wheel in the 8g's would have helped a lot of people find their comfort zone.

For me, I find that the seat doesnt go vertically down far enough away from the steering wheel. I put the steering wheel at a point where I can see the gauges, and I always put the seat as low as possible, and I have habit of resting my left foot against the door, so when I need to turn, my hands get caught at my thick thighs (I machine press close to 1000lbs). Just to let you know about my story, that is barely related to this topic.. end rant.

I dont know bout you guys, but i love having my seat back and leaned back, the door panel is like a leg rest for me and it doesnt affect the way that i drive either. I kick alot of ass on the road in that position with no problems driving at eccessive high speeds like 120, 130.
Im a lil bit over 6 feet tall if that makes a difference, but i'd ay try leaning the seat back and at a angle ya might like it. just my opinion.

Not how fast your car goes but how good u drive going fast.

Tonight I took the driver seat out of my car to inspect the seat rails. There is a metal loop that limits how far back the far left track will go back. The other track can go about an inch further back. I took my Dremel and cut off the loop. Now the seat goes back about an inch futher. Now I need to see if the steering wheel can be extended further back a bit.

yeah, never had this problem until I got the 8G. Not enough space for a 6"2 Asian male. Didn't have this problem when I drove the 94 7G. Why? Maybe it's because it had 5-spd and had some leg action.

i use the door panel as a leg rest also, but then again i am only 5'7
