I think the Tiburon 6-speed also fits into a 3G V6....crazy but this stuff is normal. I think it looks like a good solid swap option....
Ok, I think we have all seen the head swap onto the 3G eclipse from the Kia Optima (or shall I say Evo?). Yes it is hard to believe....For those of you who haven't seen it....

Now who is going to step up to the plate, buy the head that is on ebay right now, stick it on their 8G and write the tutorial? I would definitely like to know more about it if anybody can throw in their two cents. Is it worth it? not worth it? Only if you are turbo'ed? Cost vs HP Gain?
Who is up for the challenge??

Wow - never would have guessed.
BTW - you guys know that KIA is the sister company of Hyundai, right? They have cross-platform models just like Ford/Lincoln, Chevy/GM, etc. Their Optima is the Sonata , thier Amanti is the Azera, etc. So... does this mean there is also a Hyundai swap option....? Just food for thought.

That 6-speed is also used in the Nissan SE-R Spec-V, and the Toyota Celica GT-S (with a diff. model no... maybe the housing is different?) The Spec-V version has a HLSD, but the Tiburon doesn't... I have no clue about the Celica.
What info did you get that points to a 6-speed swap working?
