Trying to achieve this look, what wheels would work?

I want to do something like this, with the fender flares

I read a couple of post back about the wheel spacers, and that left me with the question, what's the best way to try and do this look? I was looking at a set of Tenzo-R GT5's, 19"/8.5" with an offset of 25. Would I be able to get these on w/o the inside of the wheel rubbing against something? And if not, what about wheel spacers. I believe a couple of post ago it was said that the spacers have to be at least 15mm to be hub centric. So if the 19"/8.5"/25 wouldn't fit right, what about 18"/7.5" with an offset of 42, with the 15mm spacers, would that work and give me the look that I'm trying to get?

Sorry to bust your dream, but that G in your pic doesn't look attractive at all. Those rims look like they ripped them off a beemer. You can do better than that. They do look like 20"s, so going with 19"s is a good move. There are a few TGCers with 19"s that look great but are not kissing the floor, try searching the pictures forum.

As for wheels, you can't go wrong with BBS, Enkei or RacingHart. Keep it simple 5-spoke or split-5 and your ride will look great AND sporty without being saucy.

I'm not trying to get those wheels, I'm looking at something different. It's the widebody style that I'm trying to get. My question is what wheel is the best way get the widebody look. The wheels with the lower offset, or using wheel spacers.

it depends on the sie and offset of the wheel and camber together if u get 7.5 width wheels your offset should stay around 35-38 if u get 8.0 stay aound 40-45 i would stay away from anything wider than 8.0 on a galant but if u have no choice i would stay 42-45 also no need for wheel spacers

if your not makin your galant widebody then this is not for you.

If it's the widebody style you want, you'd definitely need to customize your fenders so they are wider, otherwise you can never get that look. If you were to get rims that were 19x8.5 with a 25mm offset, you probably won't rub on the suspension on the inside, but you will without a doubt rub on the fenders and fender lining. That's why you would have to get the fenders widened.

I dont like those rims, but I'm running evo wheels (which are a little too wide for the G) w/ 35mm offset. I've been looking at getting either fender flares or doing a custom widebody (only adding 1 1/2 inch width to each fender, but this will likely cost around 2200 for the body work...

meh, the wheels are ok. it seems like this person was trying to do some sort of galant to austin martin conversion look at the front grill along with the wheels. but, another set of wheels would maek that car look much better. they did a great job on the widebody though.

yea. what DanJ and chicagogtz said.

if you also notice, that guy up there didnt drop his G. he just molded a wider body on a 4x4 G. if you didnt drop your G, im sure you could fit 20s and then mold fenders around the wheel.

but yea, the best look would to get wheels with a low <35 offset and then cut your old fenders wider and mold new ones.

I saw couple of rides in my country with that kind of look....it looks nice indeed, but u don't really want to drive that car....it's only a show car but not daily driven car.....in a highway it can only reach 80 km/h maybe less.....over 80 km/h it will not be safe.....

To put in that kind wheels and make it wide body u need a thick spacer....the size of the spacer will depend on how wide u want to go and the wheels offset...

not recommended unless u want to have a show car only...but not daily driven

NEVER use wheel spacers. You should always purchase wheels that are a proper fit for your vehicle.

i dig the wide body look. with the wide body and extended fenders you could stick out ur rims even more and not having to worry about off set. but like they said unless u go wide body and getting 8" 43-45 would do great. Anybody have any idea how get the widebody look. anybody search anywhere on what is needed. I have a painter and does body but he would always need somekind of patern to copy from.
