Right Headlight brighter than the Left. How can I fix this.

A couple of weeks ago, I replaced my Headlights with some hyper white lights. When I put the headlights back on, every thing looked to be placed right. Ive been noticing that the right headlight was higher when Ive been driving at night. I looked at them at night and the right one almost blinded me because its like its on High beam and the left is on low. I took offf the right to reposition it and thought i had fixed it but no luck.

What can I do about it?

    have you done some troubleshooting?

did u switch the bulb to see if it was actually the bulb or the car that is having the problem?

if its the bulb try to return it. its defective.

if its the car then u have some options.

first make sure that the bulb is seated correctly.
if that doesn't work try adjusting the alignment of the lil reflector cup in the headlight. there is a screw with something that looks like a bottle cap to achieve this..

yep, like Alan said - you probably just have to adjust the lights by that lil' bottle looking-cap thing which AIMS the headlight output direction!! twist to the right or left to adjust w/ your other one!!!

before adjusting the headlight adjuster thing, I would first check to see if the bulb was seated correctly or if one of the tabs was bent. If the bulbs you replaced were aimed correctly, then your headlight adjuster should still be in spec, you know what I'm saying?

Also, look at how the new bulb is shaped. Sometimes the glass part is 'bent' and not straight, which would cause the beam to shift.

I noticed the same thing with my old hyperwhites, but when I put in my HIDs I couldn't tell anymore since it's just too bright to see a difference.

Not sure what you mean but just replaced my headlights last night so here's the scoop. The headlight bulb should go in the housing with the singel terminal at the top and the twin terminals directly below it. That will line the headlight up correctly in the housing. The little clip (f*cking POS) holds the headlight in place. The rubber seal has an arrow on it. That arrow should be at the top when you put it back on. The connector can only go on one way. Hope that helps.

Ohhhh so that rubber giant condom looking bottle cap thing actually does something other than hold the bulb in??? When I took it out to clear my headlights, i just popped it back on and didn't light the arrow back up. I haven't taken a look at my head ligths, but does that thing acutally position the headlights?? Holla
