i would save up your money but at the same time slowly piece together a 5-speed most of the time the more patient u are the cheaper you can find your parts.and when i say cheap i dont meen knock off BS more like a guy in the 3g forums totaled his car and all he can sell is 5speed tranny .

going turbo with just a grand is like putting $20 down on a brand new dodge viper and trying not to get any wierd looks from the salesman....and then trying to walk out of the dealership...with the car. not gonna get anywhere buddy...

what would i buy with $1,000? a lot of vicodin. what should you buy with $1,000? a manual swap if you can wing it for that cheap

and exhausts are the most overrated thing in the world on n/a I4s...hope you have the V6

Another good idea is to.... well, since u like to race and speed.... Upgrade ur brakes.... Do the 4 disc brake conversion and upgrade ur rotors....

remember, when you do get that $2400 for your turbo you're going to want that 5 speed swap done, so you may want to look into it first. parts for the swap should run you just under a grand, and most people here have done the swap themselves. there is a tutorial on how to do it, but you may want to put some upgrades in there while you're at it like a good flywheel and clutch, which may run you another $500

well most likely either the 4 wheel brakes since i just found out that the 2g brakes also work with our cars. or a manual swap. i drive my car ALOT though and i dont know if id liek a manual in traffic.
