    Yet another dohc question

Ok Ive done a lot of reading, i have two 4g64's one of which is currently in my car and i have about four 1g 4g63's give or take a few nuts and bolts . i know i will need a Dohc timing belt, head gasket and a set of freeze plugs (i know a pop can would work) i have read the ever popular racer 97 faq and lots of forum threads, right now i am looking for help in two areas,.
1)will my hood close, ive owned alot of dsms but this is my first galant i know the bulge is a lot smaller on the galant.
    2) are there any wiring changes aside from the CAS wiring. ( i have heard something about distributor problems but i am still quite confused.

input is greatly appreciated in this

    1. Your hood will close. I run the stock hood w/o the hump and mine closes just fine with a DOHC head. I know the deck height of the 64 is a bit taller then the 63, but Proto has a 94 GS with a non-hump hood as well.

    2. You cant use your stock ECU. If you want to use a non turbo ECU, you will want to use either a 94 Galant GS ECU or a 2g Spyder GS ECU. Not sure on the wiring differences between a distributor and dis ecu.

IMO, degreeing cams should only be done on a dyno with the degree wheel so you know whether or not your making power or just screwing up the timing.

I got a set of AEM adjustable cam gears off eBay for $110 shipped, quite the steal haha.

I have a 94 GS ECU if you want to purchase it. $60 shipped! Wont find a better deal(probably wont find another 94 GS ECU other then a junkyard) :P
