Just curious as to what you used to plug the Intake tube with.

I don't have one but I know you can get hose end caps. kinda like to the one's for vaccum hoses. You should be able to get them at your local auto advanced auto parts, or pep boys.

A warning for people doing this..I've done it awhile back and couldn't deal with it anymore so I changed it back to normal. Well the thing is, you will start seeing all kinds of oil dripping out of that filter all over your valve cover. Unless you are prepared to clean that filter out once a week or depending how often you drive. So its up to you if you want to do this.

The upside of this is that it looks good. A good engine bay decoration. And it is suppose to keep excess dirty oil from getting pumped back into your TB.....

Well, you just have to remember to take that little filter off to clean and not to mention to dry out for a day after you wash it. Or you can get two of them and alternate between the two but you still have to clean it.

Another option is to get a clear fuel filter and fit that on there. It wont look as good, but it will still alow the breather to work and catch the oil instead of blowing it back on the cover. Allan and I have one on the intake breather and it seems to work fine.

I did mine a while ago, never had any kind of leakage of oil or anything like that..

hey laz, its an old dsmer trick. i still haven't done mine yet (mods mean more things for the shop to fuck up) but i found this really nice looking one at autozone its stainlesss steel and what looks to be really hard plastic or glass. it looks pretty about 10 dollars compared to the 3 dollar one chip has. pretty much how it works is as the gasses pas thru the filter, the oil gets trapped in the filter and settles to the bottom of the filter while the gasses continue to the intake pipe. after a while some oil will collect and you can either drain the filter of the oil or just buy another filter.

The thing is, the oil collects pretty damn fast. Like I said, a week of driving my filter is full of oil and I didn't remember to check it so it started dripping from the filter to my valve cover and soon all over the place.....

Thats why I got the one thats enclosed. so the oil collects in the vial instead of dripping out all over the engine. Basically the same one as the one in the picture but enclosed in a clear plastic cover.

Never knew they had that. So what happens when the filter gets full?? It doesn't breathe anymore?

if it gets full u won't see no decrease in peformance. you just empty the filter out. its actually a fuel filter. but nonetheless, if it does get full all it would do is pour into the intake tube, where it would go naturally without the filter anyways...
