Paint for the plastic door stripes

Alright, I don't know what else to call these, so therefore I can't search any better for another topic on this. I even went back like six pages to try and find one and could not. So....

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this.

I want to paint those plastic stripes on the sides of our doors. To do this, I was going to tape off around them, scuff them up, primer-paint-clearcoat.
I was wondering if anyone had any better tips, or if maybe I could get away with just usuing some of that krylon plastic bond paint. I was also wondering how to stick those pieces back on. (One of mine is falling off a little on the passenger front side) Would gorilla glue or 15 lb tape work? Thanks for any and all help.

Just pull them off, and use the Krylon Plastic Fusion paint, or is it duplicolor, i did this on my 7g a while back, put them back on using Molding tape from autozone

    here's a pic:

dont have a closer pic tho

should, i dont see why it wont, as long as its plastic or rubber it will stick using the fusion paint
