Since you were messing with the exhaust, it's likely that one of the O2 sensors may have gotten damaged. You really won't know until you get the code off the SES light. But I'd look first in the area that was recently altered.

While driving home tonight, my 00 ES didnt seem right.. the SES light came on.. and it seemed as tho when it shifted from first to second quickly it would 'jump' and make a couple crackle sounds afterwards until it was fully into 2nd.. i was thinkin it might be something with the exhaust because i just took off my ac revolution muffler and put the stock one back on but i dont think that is the problem in this case. anyone else heard of any problems like this.. and does anyone have any clue what the problem is? i'm bringing it to my mechanic soon, but i would like to hear from other galant owners to see if this had happened to them. thanks for any info.
