    did you change the water pump (and all other belts) when you changed the timing belt? people change the water pump when they do the timing belt because the water pump is right there when u take the t-belt off. now, when you go change your water pump, youre gonna end up having to take the t-belt off again.

    my belt was screeching because it was slipping. when it gave its final screech, it popped right off. thank god it didnt take any other belts with it.
    A failed thermostat can destroy the engine if not replaced regularly (as witnessed in this thread).

    Btw, whoever did your timing belt SHOULD have done the water pump at the same time.

    yea definatly man, its a cheap 60 $ fix while you got the belt off there. otherwise its another 3-500 to tear it all back down again, and do the pump.
    ( must remove the timing belt to reach the Water pump Bolts )
    If you have 4g64 motor that is.
